The Castle Rock attorneys at Folkestad Fazekas Barrick & Patoile, P.C., enjoy sponsoring this community lighting of the Star atop Castle Rock, as this has become a favorite with residents for some 78 years now.  This year, activities (2pm-7pm) such as puppet shows at the P.S. Miller Library, visits with Santa at the Library and Wilcox Administration Building, and the chili supper at the Fire Station are among the many fun activities.

Visit the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce’s booth and enjoy some hot chocolate, and come early to purchase your commemorative Starlighting ornament and coasters).  Don’t forget to swing by Festival Park to enjoy the sparkling Festival of Trees.

And, Castle Rock’s very own ice rink will soon be back for its second season at the White Pavilion.  The 50-by-100-foot Rink at the Rock,  located at 414 N. Perry St., will open during the annual Starlighting ceremony on Nov. 23 and will remain open through Feb. 16, 2014.  It offers open skating and other activities. Skates are available for rental, and there is an admission fee to access the ice. Visit RinkAtTheRock.com for rate information.
